This dessert is one of the best and easiest ones I've ever made. It's from Gwyn's High Alpine Cookbook/Snowmass, Co.
In a double boiler combine 1 cup sugar, 2 cups heavy cream, and 2 tsp. gelatin (unflavored). Cook for at least 10 min. until the sugar has dissolved. Cool. Add and beat in 2 cups sour cream and 2 tsp. vanilla. Pour into wine glasses or small dessert dish, 2/3 full. Top with fresh sliced fruit (strawberries, kiwi, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc) 1 1/2 recipes serves 10. I use antique jelly jars (garage sale find)

Mason Visits..............
Mason is 14 now and was able to make a trip to Colorado this summer. He had a very busy schedule but we were able to spend a day with him. We hiked up to the Palmer Lake Reservoirs and Arn took him up into the boulder field. We also hit the Rock House for some post hike ice cream. Tyler and Lauren were down for the weekend and Val was able to come visit too. We played some boci, shot the BB gun, and played Uno. Tyler smoked some chicken and a brisket too. I think Mason enjoyed himself and we enjoyed seeing him too.

Singing Swings............young at heart.
The other night we went up to Green Mountain Falls to the Green Box Arts Fest. I wanted to see the interactive singing swings. They were pretty cool. The swings make music as you swing and different swings are different instrument tones. We also ate dinner at the Mucky Duck. It's such a cute little town with a stocked lake and a beautiful gazebo. Next up is the hike to the falls and Sunday brunch at the pantry.

KT/Matt Wedding/Beach Bash............Road Trip Part Two
So we arrived in Duck, NC and got into our beach house (Dutt Inn).
It was pretty basic but was ocean front and about a 20 -30 min walk to
the wedding location. Katey was getting married to Matt (a great guy) on June 7.
The welcome party on Friday eve was fun (signature drinks, bacon bar,
smores bar, fire pit, trampoline, friends, fun). The wedding was
beautiful and lots of fun. We danced and danced! It was good to see
lots of old friends in such a great location. Mike, Kelly, and Meghan
also shared our house with us. After the wedding we spent the week at
the beach and walked, kayaked, boogie boarded, and even made a trip down
to Cape Hatteras. Arn got his National Park pass and was thrilled. We
climbed the Hatteras light house, stopped by the Bodie Island
lighthouse, and of course saw the Currituck Lighthouse up in Corolla.
We tried to eat as much seafood as possible. I even ate a soft shell crab sandwich!
