Charlie's Visit

We've had Charlie visiting for a few days while Tyler and Lauren are in CT. We're so sorry for the loss Lauren's father. Charlie is being a great dog and listening well.  We went hiking out on the Monument Preserve  on Sat. and he was off the leash for almost the whole hike and loved it.  We hiked about 3 miles.  He's also playing with Koa and Charger (his friends who live behind us). He's been helping me pick up sticks in the yard and loves chasing balls. His 'cousin' Clyde arrives on Thursday for a weekend visit so that should be fun.

Good Come........

Charlie's spending his vacation in Monument this year.  He's had lots of excitement with the forest fire and got to meet Uncle Stan and Aunt Bea while they were evacuated.  He's learning to 'Come', and listens most of the time.  He spends his days exploring the yard , playing with ants and an occasional beetle, trying to eat plants, chewing sticks, and sleeping.  He sleeps all night and does well in the laundry room during the day if we leave him for a little while. I think he really likes his Gma and Gpa!

A Visit from Charlie (and Tyler and Lauren)

Tyler, Lauren, and Charlie came for a visit this past weekend.  We had lots of fun with them and Charlie.  He enjoyed having so much space and exploring all of it.  We took him on his first hike in Palmer Lake along a small stream.  He had a good time and it wore him out.

We played 9 holes of golf and they made some great crab bisque and cheesy garlic olive bread for dinner Sunday night.

1st hike in Palmer Lake

We'll be dogsitting Charlie the 1st week of July which will be lots of fun.

Charlie?

Well...we have another addition to the family.  We haven't met him yet but Tyler and Lauren are coparenting a puppy.  We are looking forward to meeting him soon!  He looks pretty cute!!  Maybe we'll get to dogsit in July when they head east to the beach.
