Birthday and Anniversary Trip Sept. 2021

 Arn and I hadn't been to Steamboat Springs for a couple of years so we dedided to make a trip.  We stayed in the ski village but there was lots of construction going on there.  The river walk was very nice but floating wasn't allowed due to the water levels.  We hiked to Fish Creek Falls which was beautiful.  We tried to hike while going over Rabbit Ears Pass but couldn't really find a good trail. We also played golf a couple of times at Haymaker GC and RollingStone Ranch.  

Mike and Joy Visit - August 2021

 Mike and Joy came to visit in August and we had a good time.  We golfed at Woodmoor and at Four Mile Canyon.  We took them on a couple of hikes......Castlewood Canyon and a drive up to Mt. Evans (a 14er) that Arn and I had never been to before.  They were also able to see all the kids on our way home from Denver.  

July 2021 Dougans Visit

 Mike and Joy came for a visit and we golfed several time at Woodmoor. We also golfed at 4 mile Ranch near Canyon City.  We made a trip up to Mt. Evans, and hiked in Castlewood Canyon.  Quick trips to see the kids also happened.  It was a nice visit with them.

Eleven mile camping trip July 2021

 Arn and I went for the day while everyone else went for a couple of nights.  They found a great spot, had a little rain, and lots of fun.  Getting out on 11 mile was fun even though no fish were caught.

Palmer Lake hiking July 2021

Arn and I took a different route that usual for this hike.  I don't really know the correct names of the trails and need to buy a map.  We headed for the reservoirs but turned left and crossed the creek and hiked up and over the mountain to the four wheel drive road up above the reservoirs and came down past the reservoirs to the car.  I'm not sure how many miles but it was a good hike......steep, sweaty, and beautiful.
