Tyler's tshirt quilt.............birthday too.

Tyler also had a birthday the end of August and turned 32!!!  I have been working on this T shirt quilt for years (he graduated high school in 2005).  I finally finished it.  I used a quilt as you go method which took me a little longer.  I think he really liked it!

The tshirts range from 3rd grade to college with most of them being elementary school sports and high school.

Dorothy Ann is 93!

Gma turned 93 on Aug. 25th..............Arn and I had scheduled a trail ride on the 24th at Roxborough State Park in a golf cart but unfortunately it was cancelled due to mechanical problems.  We drove around thru the park and look at all of the views and had lunch in Denver.  Stan and Bea took her out to dinner for her birthday and on Sunday all of the kids came down for brunch at our house.  I think it was an exhausting weekend for her but she enjoyed all of the attention.

Lilah surprised Gma with a birthday visit!

We had a fresh peach pie and a baked peach pie instead of cake.

Happy Birthday Valerie!

Valerie took off from work for her birthday on the 22nd.  We picked her up and headed to Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash.  It was absolutely beautiful with miles and miles of trails.  We skied for about 2 hrs., had a couple of apps and a beer and headed back to Golden so she could spend the rest of her birthday with Eric.  We liked it so much we bought a 10 punch pass so we will definitely be heading back up there to nordic ski before the end of the season. 

Ohio 2013, Grandma's Video from Andy

Today we celebrated Gma's birthday with a party/taco bar/pinata/memory book/pics/trivia game.  This was a video that Andy had made the summer he helped out when she got her pacemaker.  Watch for more pics to follow about her party.. Her birthday is Tues, Aug 25th.........She is turning 90!!!  We rode the Royal Gorge train on Saturday and she really liked that.  More to follow........................

Happy # 27 Meredith!

Last weekend was Meredith's 27th birthday.  Valerie went to Crested Butte to help her celebrate.  Happy Birthday to You! We're proud of you and the person you have become.  We'll celebrate some more when we head up to Crested Butte in March.

Arn is the Martha!

My husband made me a delicious pie for my birthday a few weeks ago.  We had fresh organic Palisade peaches on hand and while I was at work he made the the pie.  The crust was great and he even made a lattice top crust.  Wow...........who knew.

Val is 30 today.  Happy Birthday to You!! It seems like it was just yesterday when we went to the hospital and came home on Christmas Eve.  Arn ran out and bought a special Christmas ornament but didn't think about what we would be eating for Christmas eve or Christmas dinner.  We had mac and cheese out of a box.  Also being a new mom I had gone thru all of the newborn clothes before Gma and Gpa got there so help (I wasn't getting the diaper on well enough to control the flow).  We're proud of you and happy that you are back in Colorado.

This is a milestone year for me...............I got through the day....
A friend at work made me a cake and everyone game me birthday wishes all day long.  Arn had the house decorated with '60' decor.  We went out for sushi and tried cake from a new bakery.........I still might sign up for lumosity online.

Today is Mere's 25th birthday. It was really fun skiing with Mere, Tim, and Mia and meeting them at the Avalanch and having Avy PainKillers? and Horny PainKillers?.  Looking forward to dinner tomorrow night, seeing 'big baby', and cross country skiing on Sunday.

Birthday Rockies Game

 We went up to Denver and met Tyler and Lauren for a Rockies game and dinner afterward at Osterio Marco. We had a very nice time at the game and great pizza afterward. The wild mushroom pizza with truffle oil and gorganzola cheese was delicious.  Thanks Tyler and Lauren for Arn's bd game and dinner.

Today Mere is 24 years old. Happy Birthday! We're very proud of you and you are growing up into a wonderful young adult. You've always been adventurous and enjoy the outdoors. From 4 yr. old (hiking in Utah @ Mary's Lake) to the top of Long's Peak. Love you more........

Happy 60th Birthday Arn!

Happy Birthday Arnold William Micheal. We celebrated Arn's 60th birthday on Sat. with a bunch of friends over for bocce and a Mexican dinner. Coronas and margaritas were flowing. I can't believe he's 60 years old. He certainly doesn't act his age or feel it. He's quite a fun guy and goes by many names......Arnold, Arn, Arnie, Arnlaud, Frank, Billy Mike, Uncle, .......feel free to add more......Happy Birthday!

Gram Casciato's cheesecake...Yum!

Tyler asked for a cheesecake for his birthday instead of cake. I hadn't made Grandma Casciato's cheesecake recipe in years. It is so easy and so good. We didn't even put anything on top!
