Backsplash Finished!

The backsplash is finished!! We just have some minor touchup work and a little bit of caulk work. We both are very happy with the results and Arn did a beautiful job with it. I was the sealer, clean up, touch up helper.

I really try to have uncluttered and clean countertops now. We really like the sink too (one big black basin). Things can be in the sink and not be noticed......

Repurposing a Garage Sale Find

I'm not exactly sure where I got this generic small white shelf unit (Target). I may have picked it up at a garage sale or even on the curb in Boulder on moving day. Anyway it's been in various college apt., out in the garage, most recently in the laundry room as a shoe rack and today was altered to be a pot rack under the cooktop. We both got very excited at the organizational aspects of our pots and pans.
PS...it snowed a foot Sat. night with thunder and lightning so Arn wasn't able to play golf.

Happy Easter 2012

We had a nice Easter this year. Sure wish Val and Eric could have been here too. Rock came for a couple of days before he went home to Ohio with Gma. Stan and Melissa were able to stop by too. We also had Chris, Maren, Tyler, Lauren, and Mere for the weekend. Clyde came to visit and we're glad he did since we will be watching him in May for 10 days. No, we are not allowing pets on furniture...he's a puppy and is working on learning.

Gma was sure anxious to get home to Ohio and see her cat, Nazzi.

Stan and Bea have been sick so they were unable to come.

We played bocci both days. Even had to get out the tape measure. I'll be working on a score keeper and measuring rope.

I made Gma C's cheesecake and it was a hit. Yummy!!!

Melissa brought carrot cupcakes!

We played Rum, 31, Catch Phrase, and Apples to Apples.

Rock enjoyed the cards and bocci.....he's 'the master'.

The 'spicy' chx tenders were great.....too spicy for some...

Val and Eric's dilly beans were a delicious garnish for the bloody mary's.

Craftsy Block of the Month - March

I think I like March's blocks the best so far. The colors are great and the techniques were fun. I really like the 'scrappy' look too! Looking forward to April's blocks....
