Staunton State Park is Colorado's newest state park and it is a beautiful park. We checked it out and also checked off a couple of things off of Mel's bucket list. We hiked a while and then drove to the Bucksnort Saloon. The drive is beautiful but we were a little disappointed with the saloon....staffing was low since it was the middle of the week so the menu was very limited.

A new place to Hike - Sandstone Ranch - opened 2020
Sandstone Ranch is a beautiful open space near us that could have been a residential development.
Luckily it isn't and may expand in a couple of years. The trails are easy and it's a great area.
Cheyenne Mt. Zoo with Lilah and Tucker Sept. 2020
This zoo is one of the best zoos ever. The giraffes are really fun to feed and we were very excited to have Lilah feed them but she was a little afraid of them. We got our workout and steps and had a fun day together. We'll have to bring daddy and Gpa next time.

Melanie turns 67 and 68! (2020 and 2021)
On Sept. 4th I turned 67 and really enjoy pie instead of cake.......Arn is getting quite good at making pies!
This year for my 68th birthday and for our 42nd anniversary we traveled to Steamboat............we golfed, hiked, walked, and ate out. It's a beautiful place in the summertime.
Winter Park and St. Mary Glacier Sept. 2020
Boy am I behind on my postings............Last Sept. we spent a few days in Winter Park and also stopped by St. Mary Glacier.....we have been passing that sign on I 70 for years and finally checked it out. It is absolutely beautiful and such a nice hike ending at the lake and glacier. The hike isn't too hard, is short but is uphill. We saw people carrying up rafts, etc. We went on a Friday afternoon, had to pay for parking, and were surprised at how crowded was for a weekday. We really recommend it! This was also an anniversary trip - #41 for us!

North Pole with Lilah Summer 2020
I am very behind in posting and plan to do better. This trip took place over the summer when we were helping out Val and Eric with babysitting. We took Lilah to the North Pole and had a great time even though it wasn't totally open due to the pandemic. She loved the train and we rode it several times. I think she loves the sugar intake when she is with us also. We also rode the sky ride but she wouldn't do the candy cane slide (Gma did). We stopped by the Wines of Colorado to have a creekside lunch and enjoyed that too.
