Arn, Mag, and I went on a beautiful hike in North Cheyenne Canyon last week (3/17) when the weather was warm and beautiful. Started by going to the end of the road (past Helen Hunt Falls), took the trail to the left (not High Dr. or Gold Camp), went on the Seven Bridges Trail, on to Jones Park, onto the Bear Creek Canyon Tr., and onto the Mt. Buckhorn Tr. We made a loop that was around 7 mi. long (took us 4 hr.) We kept taking the right turn. Our only error was on Mt. Buckhorn when we should have kept straight instead of going right. We needed to walk the ridge on Buckhorn and come out on High Dr. Beautiful views, great hike. Lots of creek crossings at the beginning. Plan to do more in this area!

The weather has been so nice this winter. Arn golfs as much as he can (golfed everyday last week). We have been hiking alot out on the Monument Preserve and taking trails all over the old burn area. Also go on past Monument Rock almost up to Mt. Herman Rd. Usually see some deer and coyote.
Red Rock Canyon is beautiful in the Springs, is south of the Garden of the Gods. If you keep heading south it can connect in with part of the Section 16 trails.
Before Meredith left for Ecuador we hiked on the Paul Intemann Trail near Manitou Springs. Started off in the wrong direction and ended up needing to turn around at the private property sign. Went the other direction and it was a nice hike but want to explore it more another day.

Recently hiked Spruce Mt. with Jane on a Sunday afternoon (3/15). A great 5 mile trail north of Palmer Lake which makes a loop on the top of a mesa overlooking Palmer Lake and the Spruce Mt. Ranch.
Other trails in the past few month - Black Forest Park, Fox Run Park

Went to Crested Butte a couple of weekends ago. Cross Country skiied one day (want our own equipment now) and downhill one day.
