Multiple hikes! and the end of 2017!

We've had a few days of very nice weather and the golf course wasn't open so we've been doing alot of walking/hiking.  We walked 3-4 miles in our neighborhood the first day.  I've always wanted to check out the Paint Mines Interpretive Park out east of us so we went there and hiked about 4-5 miles among the rocks.  It was weird and pretty neat.  I've also wanted to go to a new regional park east of us in Black Forest so we headed east the next day and hiked 3.8 mi. in Homestead Ranch Regionall Park.  On New Years Eve the temp dropped into the 20's but it was still sunny and good hiking weather. We found a new trail out on Monument Preserve and hiked another 3.6 miles. It was a nice ending to 2017.
We went to one of our favorite places in Palmer Lake for an early dinner with Gma (The Villa - excellent!) and watched The Zoo Keepers Wife.  A quiet but nice evening.
