Biggy Girl!

She's growing...........and lots of fun!

Meredith turns 30!

Little Meredith turned 30 years old Feb. 1st.  It's so hard to believe.  She had to work on her birthday so we met she and Tim at Alchemy in Old Colorado City for a some dinner at an Irish Pub.  There just happened to be live music that night too.

Still waiting................

We're still waiting for a big snow storm around here!  We've only had to shovel once or twice and we haven't been able to nordic ski (the trails were open for a couple of days).  We've been trying to get to the mountains each week to ski and one week we spent a couple of nights in Winter Park and got 3 days in skiing.  Arn has been golfing about 6 times already in January.  Meredith and Tim closed on their house in Cascade and are busy working on the renovations now.  They almost have a fully finished bathroom.  Lilah is growing and getting so cute.  It's a joy to babysit!  She is smiling, starting to giggle slightly and grunt a little.  Gma is doing well in assisted living and will do some of the activities.  She has been enjoying the Olympics every night.  She loves being around Lilah and we facetime with Val as much as possible.

This little girl is growing fast and is so sweet.  She likes us too! Weighing in at 9lb 6 oz.
Cooing and smiling!

Enjoying her new play gym that Daddy made for her.

Multiple hikes! and the end of 2017!

We've had a few days of very nice weather and the golf course wasn't open so we've been doing alot of walking/hiking.  We walked 3-4 miles in our neighborhood the first day.  I've always wanted to check out the Paint Mines Interpretive Park out east of us so we went there and hiked about 4-5 miles among the rocks.  It was weird and pretty neat.  I've also wanted to go to a new regional park east of us in Black Forest so we headed east the next day and hiked 3.8 mi. in Homestead Ranch Regionall Park.  On New Years Eve the temp dropped into the 20's but it was still sunny and good hiking weather. We found a new trail out on Monument Preserve and hiked another 3.6 miles. It was a nice ending to 2017.
We went to one of our favorite places in Palmer Lake for an early dinner with Gma (The Villa - excellent!) and watched The Zoo Keepers Wife.  A quiet but nice evening.

Chops

We had another great Christmas and holiday season this year.  We decorated cookies, made popcorn balls, had a caroling party with friends, sang carols with the family and spent time with one another.  Catch Phrase was a hit again and Santa brought a new game which was fun (Quiddler).  Delilah was a hit and is cooing and smiling now. We again had Aunt Arlene's stuffed shrimp and it was delicious.  We also had steak and scalloped potatoes on Christmas Day.  Of course ciopinno and potato leek soup were served on Christmas Eve.
