A new forsythia bush for the front yard for early spring color.
Smithville United Methodist (frozen in time, not sure what will happen to it come June, should be declared historic)
Lunch in Bowling Green with Linda (a nursing school classmate I haven't seen in years) and a visit to Ben Franklin (hard to find these stores)
A visit with cousins - Dick, Deb and Jeff, and Mom. While in Carey, Oh. we also picked up 30 lb. of brats at Saum's Meats. I brought back 20 lb., along with a rhubarb plant. Nice to see them. Such a neat house and great collections. Take a close look at Dick...who does he remind you of?
I wanted to see our pussy willow bush but it has died. Forsythia bushes were everywhere so we got one for the front yard so Mom can see it from her front window. The weather was cold, wet, and rainy so the flower beds didn't get weeded and not too much was accomplished outsided. Baby irises were blooming along with daffodils. We've decided May may be the month to return. We did find 2 robin eggs but unfortunately they were on the ground and not in the nest. Wind???? Lots of birds were busy making their nests which was fun to watch.
